Notification contacts are emails or phone numbers of people who should be notified of Unattended Incident Reports or Urgent Words. 

Add a New Contact 

  1. Click Add Contact. 

  2. Fill in the contact info. 

  3. Click Save 

⚠️ If you enter in both SMS and Email you will get notified on both. If you only want an email, only fill in Email and if you only want an SMS fill in just SMS 

Edit a Contact

  1. Hover on the desired contact

  2. Click the pencil icon

Remove a Contact 

  1. Hover on the desired contact 

  2. Click on the trash can

Unattended Incident Report (UIR)

 If an Incident Report comes in and is not attended to within the specified period of time, it is considered an “Unattended Incident Report.”  When this happens, an SMS or email is automatically sent out to pre-arranged personnel to let them know there is a Report that needs immediate attention. 


On the right you can select the desired length of time before being notified.  You can also disable all notifications by clicking the checkbox. 

Urgent Words (UW)

If an Incident Report comes in with a word that matches a word in an Urgent Words List it will send an email or SMS. ELERTS provides a standard list. You can also customize your own list by opening the UW settings by clicking on the Urgent Words List button in the top right corner.

Add Urgent Words List

  1. Click the Add button to open the Add dialog

  2. Type in a name

  3. Check the Use Standard UW List if you want to use it as a starting point

  4. Click Add

Add an Urgent Word

  1. Type in the word in the "Add a Word" text box

  2. Click the Add button

Remove an Urgent Word

  1. Hover over a word and click the X

Assign an Urgent Words list to a contact

  1. Click in the Select Urgent Words box and choose the desired list

Remove an Urgent Word List

  1. Click on the X on the Urgent words list you want to remove.
